DAMAGE PREVENTION FOLLOW UPS

** Because damage prevention does not stop after utilities are marked.

DigTix v2.23 introduces a massive set of new capabilities which allow flexible workflows to protect assets and maximize safety. Follow ups provide a way to manage work associated damage prevention after the initial locate is complete. This includes utility locate audits, critical asset patrols, excavation inspections, watch and protects, pre- and post-excavation surveys, and much more. Users are able to trigger, prioritize, route, and manage these follow up work orders right alongside everything else DigTix offers.

Follow ups are a new core feature of DigTix, so we've included separate documentation on them in our Support and Knowledge Base Portal. You can view this document directly by clicking here.

NOTE: Follow-ups may be deactivated by default on your DigTix implementation. If you'd like to take advantage of this new suite of features, please open a support request via our Support and Knowledge Base Portal.

EXCAVATOR MANAGEMENT

A new "Excavators" page has been added to the DigTix main menu. This page allows users to search for and manage excavators who have been involved in locate requests / incidents managed by DigTix.

ASSIGNMENT RULE SETS

It is now possible to define ticket assignment rules for tickets which are dispatched after an initial screening process from within the DigTix application. These rules are separate from the current set of ticket assignment rules, which are considered when a new ticket is received by DigTix.

Figure 3: Assignment Rule Sets: Received Locates vs Dispatched Locates

Using these two rule sets, it is possible to deliver new tickets to a set of researchers / dispatchers for initial review. If it is determined that the ticket should be dispatched to the field, the ticket may be dispatched to the appropriate field user via the "Dispatched Locates" assignment rule set.

NOTE: All ticket assignment rules currently defined will be placed under the "Received Locates" rule set. This will effectively have no impact on the current operation of DigTix with respect to ticket assignment rules.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Ticket attachments may be copied to multiple tickets more easily with a new "Submit & Copy to Another" button that has been added to the ticket attachment copy window.
  • The On-Time report now provides a drill down to the list of late tickets when aggregating by locator.
  • Help tooltips have been introduced for several fields throughout DigTix. These tooltips provide quick and easy explanations / training for various DigTix features. Over the next few releases, the DigTix team will be adding more help tooltips throughout the application to improve DigTix users' understanding of the operation of DigTix.
